NCC Education Launches ICDL in Malaysia

World leading IT qualifications certification and testing body, Manchester-based NCC Education will launch the arrival of the ICDL in Malaysia at an event at the Nikko Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on June 6th. NCC Education’s Managing Director, David Pottinger, will be hosting the ICDL launch and Debbie Spencer, ATS Global Sales Manager, will be presenting the benefits of the ICDL qualification.
The launch event sees the introduction of the ICDL into Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. It is expected that the qualification will prove to be popular in these regions as they are all striving to raise the IT literacy levels of their citizens.
NCC Education has been awarded ICDL accreditation and testing software provider status for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
The ICDL agreement awards NCC Education rights to accredit centres to deliver the ICDL and provide administrative and operational support services to centres which deliver the course.
Malaysia and Singapore are already established as hubs of IT skills. In order to maintain this status they need to continue to build a workforce of highly IT literate individuals. This means that all employees, not just those working directly in IT, need to have IT skills. The ICDL is ideal for establishing these general PC user skills.
