NCC Education Launches A+

Europe - 14 May 2002

UK based qualifications awarding body, NCC Education has launched an updated A+ course. The A+ PC Support Technician course developed by NCC Education is now available to education centres all over the world. NCC Education’s A+ PC Support Technician course is recognised by employers and academic institutions worldwide.

Dave Snow, Qualifications Director at NCC Education explained the reasons for continuing to develop this course: “The role of a computer support professional is vital in today’s business environment. There is a growing need for businesses to have on-site user support and technical maintenance skills. The A+ PC Support Technician course provides students with a thorough understanding of the technical and practical skills involved in PC technical support, enabling them to undertake user support and technical maintenance roles.”

Annabel Latham, NCC Education’s Business Manager responsible for the A+ Support Technician course outlined the skills students will develop on the course: “This course teaches the skills required to support and maintain PCs. Students are introduced to the hardware and software technology used in PC systems and learn about safety precautions and troubleshooting.”

The A+ PC Support Technician course can be taken as an elective module as part of the International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS) or as a standalone course. Students passing the NCC Education assessment can take the CompTIA A+ test at a Sylvan test centre.
